Garden Tour of a Creative Senior Citizen

I went on a garden tour today. One garden belonged  to a  79 year old woman. It  was my favorite! Every where you looked there were creative and innovative  ideas. I plan to use some of these ideas soon!

She likes to use rocks (I do too). A few photos. See the rock foot next to the leaf? Footprint shaped foot with pea gravel toes.

And yard rocks mortered together into borders.  Great way to use them!

And she likes broken pottery and dishes.  This is a step with broken blue and white dishes with that  blue pitcher turned into a planter at the edge! Love it!

A weedless raised bed garden. After all the rain we have had – I am impressed!

The secret – landscape cloth with old carpet on top. In another place there were roof shingles. I picked a place that shows the landscape cloth.

Love the unused tomato cages hanging on a nail on the fence. Great idea! I just need a wood fence!

How about a painted glass garden divider?

A wedge of wood painted like watermelon – seen that before – but not with a fork embedded in it!

And she swore that she is not a artist! What do you think?
